A fascinating story of a book considered by many Czechs as a national
treasure up to this day. It has been 400 years since the last Kralice
edition of the Bible translation. One of the first Bible translations,
deriving from original texts, became among other things the foundation
of the Czech language and the Czech culture.This unique book originated
under difficult circumstances and throught struggles of faith of a
remarkable community called Unity of Brethren. The Kralice Bible came
into existence thanks to the protection and support of the Brethren
nobility, particularly of two men from the Moravian noble line of the
Zierotins.
